Application of NiTi shape memory alloy in orthopedics
At present, NiTi shape memory alloy is widely used in orthopedic internal fixation, dental cardiovascular materials, neurosurgery, Urology, gastrointestinal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery and reproductive medicine. Objective: To investigate the application of NiTi shape memory alloy in orthopedics. Methods: the first author searched with the keywords "NiTi shape memory alloy, fracture" and "NiTi shape memory alloy, fracture" respectively. The retrieval time of CNKI database was 2002 / 2009, and that of PubMed database was 1963 / 2009（ http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed ）Objective to search the application of NiTi shape memory alloy in plastic surgery. The results show that NiTi memory alloy is not only used for limb fractures, but also for spinal and femoral fractures in recent years. NiTi shape memory alloy has good biocompatibility, super elasticity, low magnetism, wear resistance, fatigue resistance and corrosion resistance, and has been widely used as a new type of internal fixation materials.
