shape memory alloy
Ordinary metal materials have no shape memory. If they sit on an aluminum frame and bend permanently, they will not be able to restore their original shape. You have to try to adjust the frame at the back of your head. Even so, there is no guarantee that the framework is the same as before. Moreover, if the frequency of round-trip bending is too high, the glass frame will always fracture to the fatigue limit.
Shape memory alloy is different from ordinary metal. They are strong and light aluminum alloys with unique properties. They can be programmed to remember the original shape, so if you bend or squeeze them, you can heat them to return to their original shape again. This is called the shape memory effect. Some shape memory metals remember one shape when they are hot and another when they are cold. Therefore, when they are cold, they become one shape, but when they get hot, they forget their original shape and shrink to another shape. This is called the double shape memory effect.
Shape memory alloy is a kind of aluminum alloy material with shape memory function. The exhibits show the memory effect of a dual memory alloy, which takes on one shape when heated and another when cooled. During the whole deformation process, the change of austenite thermal ductility is the direct cause of memory effect. These materials have many excellent properties and are widely used in aerospace, mechanical automation, biomedicine, bridge construction, automobile industry and daily life.
