Characteristics of NiTi shape memory alloy
NiTi shape memory material is a kind of special material which integrates sensing and driving. NiTi shape memory alloy is an important part of NiTi shape memory materials. Nitinol shape memory alloy is an alloy whose shape is in a certain initial state. It is deformed into another shape after low temperature forming, and then the temperature is increased by heating, and then it is deformed into the original shape alloy. NiTi shape memory alloy has the following characteristics:
(1) Damping characteristics
NiTi shape memory alloy has good damping properties due to self-regulation of interface and motion during phase transformation.
(2) Resistance
The resistance and strain of martensitic NiTi shape memory alloy are linear during deformation. When the transformation occurs, the slope of the curve decreases, but the linear relationship remains unchanged before and after Maraging.
(3) Shape memory
After certain heat treatment, the shape of NiTi shape memory alloy will recover automatically, which is the shape memory characteristic of NiTi shape memory alloy. According to the state of shape recovery, shape memory can be divided into one-way shape memory, two-way shape memory and whole process shape memory.
(4) Hyperelasticity
NiTi shape memory alloy will deform under the action of external force, and it will return to its original state after removing the external force, which is the hyperelastic characteristic of NiTi shape memory alloy. After superelastic deformation, NiTi shape memory alloy will directly cause martensitic transformation, and the elimination of external force will lead to the reverse of martensitic transformation.
